These barrel shaped bases have strips of copper wrapped around them and are fixed in place with brass screws.       <image:caption>This antique pepper grinder is made out of Ash which has a beautiful wood grain as well as often having a small knot gives it a bit of character. This wood also holds a burn very well which gives it a really nice contrast and aged look. Because of this, it is one of the more popular woods used in the barrel style. The copper wrapped is antiqued using sulfur and affixed to the wood with brass screws.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>These are small segments of walnut that will be glued into rings. The angle on both sides is at 15 degrees. When 12 pieces are joined, that forms 360 degrees making a perfect circle or ring which can then be glued together.</image:caption>
